Phundex

Setting up a new Innovation Management Pathway is very straightforward. Having created your Phundex account and selected an IMS Subscription, here are some simple steps to get started.

Go to the main menu on the lefthand side of the screen and select Pathways.  This will bring you to the Pathway Dashboard.  As a new user, you won't see any Pathways listed, but once you start creating Pathways you will have a list of Pathways to choose from.

We suggest you start by adding people to your Network - those people will be eventually be able to access Phundex when they are assigned to particular Pathways.

You can add people to your Network by selecting the Add a User button, and a pop-up will appear which you can complete to add the user to your Network.

Then choose Platform Settings on the Menu to see options to add Mentor, Types and Levels for your Pathways.  These lists are controlled by your Client Administrator, but Pathway Managers can select from the pre-defined lists when they are working on their Pathways

Starting with Mentors - your first choice is retain mentors or to disable them - in this case we will retain them

Here we add a new Mentor, the same way we added someone to our Network.  Currently, the Mentor does not need to be a member of your Network and they can be assigned Tasks as a Guest.

Now we can see there are two possibilities for Mentors for this client

Next we consider Pathway Levels.  For startups, we typically use the following, but you can choose any Levels that work for you.  Adding a Level works the same way as adding a Mentor

Here we have set up Pathway Types as well, as we want to be able to track where the startup is on their journey

Next you will want to create your first Pathway.  From the Pathway Dashboard, select the Create Pathway Button.  You can input the name, and jurisdiction, which are the only mandatory fields, and then any of the other fields you wish to complete at this time.

In this example, we have selected Mentor, Type and Level, and we are choosing them from the lists created in the previous steps.  These are selected from the available list and you can choose more than one in each category.

We recommend you start using a template to give you a base template to start with.  This can be customised any way you like, so we recommend to use the template as is to start with.

Once you have selected it, you will be redirected automatically to the Pathway Dashboard where you can see the various stages we have set up as a starting point.

From here you can customise the Pathway to meet your specific requirements.  Once you are happy with it, you can set it up as a "My Template" Pathway, ensuring consistency across all Pathways.
